Salmonella

Recently in the Star Tribune online i read an article called Salmonella Sickens People in 12 States. It did not say who wrote the article. It was about the government is telling people to cook their frozen chicken dinners thoroughly because 32 people in 12 states were sickened with salmonella. The main chicken dinners were, "chicken cordon bleu" and "chicken kiev." The USDA said that the people who were sickened did not read the packing to cook it at the appropriate time and temperature. Minnesota was one of the 12 states affected by this. The people who were sickened, I think, are just plain stupid. The boxes clearly state for how long and what temperature things should be cooked at. Also salmonella is something most people know about and the fact that people are still getting sick is kind of pathetic. The only thing that is good about the article is that it again repeats everything people should know about cooking chicken, but hopefully this time people will actually pay attention.
